Sunny Santiago

This will be brief as we are getting ready to start the day. Chile has been fairly welcoming. I´ve been tested many times over with only three years of HS Spanish in my arsenal. So far everything has been seamless. We arrived, traversed the city by foot the first day, rented a car the second, drove to Valparaiso, drove back (Ok, we did get pulled over, but we still have no idea why, and when the cop asked us a bunch of questions and we just shrugged, he exasperatedly let us go.) Last night we met up with some Seattle friends who happen to be here for 6 months. We´re off now to meet them and head to the Maipo valley wine country for a while. R is happy because there´s a gym in our hotel. bye
